Jennifer Hackbarth began her dance training at the Milwaukee Ballet School and Academy. In 2012 she competed in the renowned Youth America Grand Prix winning the Youth Grand Prix award and placing in the overall top 12 worldwide. After receiving a scholarship, she attended the John Cranko Schule in Stuttgart, Germany. Upon returning to America, Jennifer attended the School of American Ballet in New York City, becoming an apprentice with the New York City Ballet. There she danced in works by Peter Martins, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, and George Balanchine. After dancing with the New York City Ballet, Jennifer joined the Dresden Semperoper Ballett in Germany. Since joining the Semperoper Ballett she has danced featured roles in ballets by Aaron Watkin, William Forsythe, David Dawson, Justin Peck, and George Balanchine.
