BIO
Katerina grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and has been dancing since the age of eight. She began her dance training at The Contra Costa Ballet School and later was accepted to join The San Francisco Ballet School. From 2012—2014 she danced with American Ballet Theatre’s Studio Company. In 2014, she was accepted into The Juilliard School, where she would go on to dance lead roles in works by Jerome Robbins, Twyla Tharp, and Wayne McGregor. In addition, she performed works by choreographers Azure Barton, Pam Tanowitz, Ohad Naharin, Nacho Duato, Gustavo Ramirez Sansano, Richard Alston, and Austin McCormick. While in school, she danced professionally with Jessica Lang Dance and SFDanceworks.
In 2018, Katerina graduated from The Juilliard School with a BFA in Dance. She currently dances with SFDanceworks and in CandyBomber Production’s FURY show. In addition to being a dancer, Kat is a certified GYROTONIC® instructor, model, and choreographer. She teaches dance for The Academy of American Dance, and is on staff at The Seed Center for GYROTONIC®.
Kat has modeled and created movement for fashion designers Christian Siriano, Tory Sport, and Lan Jaenicke. She danced and walked in New York Fashion Week 2018 for luxury fashion brand Lion & Lamb Co. Her choreographic work has been performed in New York at the White Wave Soloduo Dance Festival, and at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater in Juilliard’s 2018 Choreographic Honors.
